Search Committee
The search committee is a diverse group.
It includes long time members of the Episcopal Church and people who,
while not Episcopalians, are faithful members of St. Gregory's.
The members also represent the diversity of the congregation. They
come from several different communities and some are second home owners
in the area with their primary residence somewhere else.

About this Profile
To find out what parishioners seek in their next Rector, the search
committee conducted two surveys. The first, to all parishioners,
was a modified version of the one page Ministry Specialties -
Congregation Survey". The second was pulled from the "Parish
Survey Demonstration - Confidential Parish Profile Survey". The
committee modified section 4: the Ministry of Our Parish" to meet the
needs of St Gregory's. This was distributed to each group and also
made available to anyone else who wanted to fill it out.
Once the committee had the results of these surveys, a 'World Cafe' was
held during coffee hour. This is a series of small group discussions
centering on the goals for St. Gregory's over the next 3-5 years and the
attributes the groups wanted most in our next Rector. The results
of the surveys were posted to give the groups a starting place for their
discussions.
Another source of input were comments and discussions between the
committee members, the vestry, and the congregation. Everyone was
encouraged to take an active role and to 'be heard'.
